I am 100% he never meant it to be racıst but for fuck sake ıt does not take Eınsteın to fıgure out what was to come.
The picture in itself is not racist, but one can simply put two and two together and as Captain Luke Picard would say "make it so".
The fact he is trying to laugh it off is not really helping, but I am sure he will be allowed to live.

Whether he meant it innocently or not, his apology will do him no good, unfortunately. The way the world is now, an apology isn't an apology any more, its an admission of guilt. He'll probably get away with it and keep his job as he's quite prominent (but will be reminded of it every day forever), Joe Public finding himself in this sort of hot water will have no chance.

The picture could have been interesting satire if the caption had been phrased in a certain way because to the Sherman’s she is black and see everything as black and white but it would have had to be worded perfectly.

Huge fan of DB and followed him since the halcyon days of his 'Morning Edition' days. He's highly intelligent and very funny and his 'Animals dressed as famous people set to fairground music' has been a staple for years. He's missed the mark with that one though but who doesn't get tired of people calling for 'sacking' every time someone makes a mistake. Move on.

Daft sod, but in this day and age, I expect to see him on the gallows for having the nerve to post something many will find offensive.
Issue I have with the 20 odd pictures I've been sent of a similar theme, is that they're simply not funny.
I laugh more at the videos I'm sent of people dying!
